- Thin white liquid designated to protect instruments.
- Contains an antimicrobial ingredient to prevent growth of pathogens and also works as a rust inhibitor.
- Water soluble to allow steam penetration.
- Mixing must follow manufacturer’s instruction using distilled water.
- In a manual bath, Instrument milk is used for 7 days then changed with the container cleaned, disinfected and sterilized weekly.
- If instrument milk is programed into the washer-disinfector, the proper ratio must be followed as directed by the MIFU.
