Clamping
- Called clamps or forceps.
- Clamp and hold tissue/vessels.
- May be used to occlude blood flow.
- Jaw may be smooth, or have longitudinal, or horizontal serrations to prevent slipping off tissue.

- Used to drill bone to place screws/implants
- Used to cut or saw bone
