Heather has been a Registered Nurse since graduating in December 1990. She has spent many years as a staff nurse in a variety of areas including Inpt NeuroSurgery, Emergency, Labour and Delivery, Hemodialysis and Operating Room/Recovery Room. Outside the hospital environment, Heather has experience working as part of the onsite medical team at Toronto Pearson Airport as well as Medivac Flight Nurse for Samaritan Air. In 2019, she joined the Redevelopment Team for Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital (a net new hospital in Ontario) and was the Perioperative Program Lead. Heather transitioned to become the Perioperative Manager in that time and opened the hospital in June 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Later that year, Heather returned to Mackenzie Health to transition to the role of  Ambulatory Care Manager for Endoscopy/Cystoscopy and Minor Procedures. Heather joined Olympus in August of 2022 in her current role as Clinical Nurse Consultant and provides training and education.
