Stephanie Mailman-Crouse

Stephanie Mailman-Crouse is the Secretary for the CAMDR Board of Directors, bringing a strong background in quality improvement, sterile processing operations, and healthcare leadership. She is deeply committed to advancing excellence in medical device reprocessing across Canada and strengthening support for MDR professionals nationwide.

Stephanie began her involvement with CAMDR in 2025, motivated by a desire to contribute to national advocacy, professional development, and the ongoing evolution of MDR standards and practice. She is passionate about building connections between MDR teams, perioperative services, leadership, and national partners to elevate the visibility and voice of the profession.

In her professional role within healthcare, Stephanie leads quality initiatives in MDR at Nova Scotia Health. She has developed tools, protocols, and improvement frameworks used across multiple sites and collaboratives, and is known for her practical, evidence-informed approach to improving MDR safety and reliability.

As Secretary, Stephanie supports the governance of the Board by ensuring strong communication processes, accurate documentation, and organized operations. She plays an active role in strategic planning, national engagement, and supporting CAMDR’s mission to promote excellence, research, and education for MDR professionals.

Stephanie is passionate about mentorship, strengthening Canada-wide collaboration, and supporting the growth and recognition of the MDR profession.
