The session objectives:

  1. Attendees will have some tangible strategies for how the MDRD & End Users can collaborate to resolve instrumentation issues efficiently.
  2. Attendees will have some insights about scenarios happening in the Operating Room that have impact to MDRD (i.e. returned case carts)
  3. Attendees will have a renewed appreciation for their role in patient care and the critical nature of the work done in MDRD.

Meet the speaker:

Bryana Hahn, RN BN Bryana completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree at the University of Lethbridge in 2012. With an immediate passion for peri-operative nursing, she returned to complete the ORNAC Accredited Peri-operative RN Certificate Program in 2012/13 through the Lethbridge College. Shortly after this, Bryana moved to Edmonton where she has held various roles at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital within the Operating Room from 2013-2022: frontline nurse, Clinical Nurse Educator, and Unit Manager. In January 2023, Bryana was hired as the Clinical Liaison between the OR & MDRD. This role involves supporting resolution of real-time issues, loaner coordination, process improvement, set changes & builds, MDRD education, Accreditation audits and more!
